Plan your garden

About the studio

We design gardens that grow into themselves.

Mossgrove is a small landscape studio. We plant for the soil you actually have, the light you actually get, and the way you actually live outside.

A studio that starts with a walk

Every project begins the same way: a slow walk around the property with the people who live there. We look at where water runs after a storm, where the dog has worn a path, which corner gets the last of the evening sun.

Then we draw. Not a showroom plan — a garden that fits the house, the neighborhood, and the budget, with plants that will look better in year five than they do on day one.

The best compliment we get is when a neighbor asks how long the garden has been there.

What we believe

  1. Native first

Plants that belong here need less water, feed the pollinators, and shrug off a hard summer.

  2. Built to last

Good drainage and honest stonework, so the garden you pay for is still standing in ten years.

  3. Seasons, not just summer

Structure for winter, color in spring, and something worth looking at every month in between.

How a garden comes together

  1. Walk

We visit, listen, and take notes on sun, soil, and slope.

  2. Sketch

A hand-drawn plan with a plant list and a clear estimate.

  3. Build

Our own crew does the stonework, planting, and irrigation.

  4. Tend

Seasonal visits keep the garden growing the way it was designed.
